Enrich with AI modal showing Translation as one of the available enrichment actions Translation is one of the enrichment actions in WISEPIM. Select products, open the Enrich with AI modal, choose Translation, and the AI translates all text-based fields into your configured project languages. Translation runs in the background so you can keep working.
Before you can translate, you need to configure your target languages in Settings > General. Translation uses the locales set up in your project — if no additional languages are configured, the Translation option will not be available.

Before You Translate

For the best results, make sure your product content is accurate and complete in the primary language first. AI translations are only as good as the source material — short, vague descriptions lead to lower-quality translations.
We recommend enriching your products with AI first to improve titles, descriptions, and metadata in your primary language, then translating the improved content.

How to Translate

1

Select products

Check individual products on the Products page, or use filters and choose Apply to all to translate your entire filtered catalog.
2

Open the Enrich with AI modal

Click Enrich with AI in the toolbar. The enrichment modal opens with all available actions.
3

Choose Translation

Select the Translation action from the modal. The AI will translate all text-based fields into every language configured in your project.
4

Start enrichment

Click Start Enrichment. The translation runs as a background task — monitor progress in the Process Tracker.
Translating large numbers of products consumes AI credits. Check your plan limits in Settings > Billing before running a bulk translation.

Supported Languages

WISEPIM supports 93 languages including English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Scandinavian languages, Asian languages, and more. The available languages depend on the locales you have configured in Settings > General.

Reviewing Translations

After translation completes, use the language selector on the Products page to switch between languages and review the output. Language selector dropdown on the Products page for switching between languages to compare translations
  1. Switch to a target language using the language selector
  2. Review the translated title, description, short description, and meta fields
  3. Use Configure Language Columns to view multiple languages side-by-side

Translation Status

Each product tracks its translation status — filter the products table by status to find what needs attention:
StatusMeaning
Fully TranslatedAll key fields translated into all target languages.
Partially TranslatedSome fields or languages are still missing.
Not TranslatedNo translations exist yet.

Best Practices

Improve before translating

Enrich your products in the primary language first. Better source content produces better translations.

Start with a small batch

Translate 5-10 products first to verify quality before running a full catalog translation.

Review industry-specific terms

Technical terms, brand names, and product-specific jargon may need manual adjustment after translation.

Translate by category

Filter by product category and translate in batches. This makes review easier and ensures consistency within each category.

Troubleshooting

ProblemSolution
Translation option not availableMake sure you have configured additional languages in Settings > General. At least one target language besides the primary language is required.
Translation did not startMake sure you selected at least one product. Check that you have sufficient AI credits in Settings > Billing.
Translation quality is poorImprove your source content first — enrich with AI in the primary language before translating.
Some fields were not translatedOnly text-based fields are translated. Numeric values, images, and codes are not affected. If a source field is empty, there is nothing to translate.
