You’ve imported your products, enriched them with AI, and now they’re ready to go back to your store. Exporting sends your improved product data to your e-commerce platform — or downloads it as a CSV or Excel file.

Export destinations

  • E-commerce platforms — Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Lightspeed
  • File formats — CSV and Excel
  • Other systems — WebshopImporter, Kaufland
File exports are always available. Platform exports require a connected integration — set yours up on the Integrations page first.

Selecting what to export

You have three options:
MethodHow
Selected productsCheck the boxes next to specific products, then click Export
Filtered productsApply filters to narrow your catalog, then export all matching results
All productsDon’t select anything — the export covers your entire catalog

Exporting to a platform

1

Go to the Products page

Select the products you want to export, or apply filters.
2

Click Export

Hit the Export button in the toolbar.
3

Pick your destination

Choose the platform you want to push to. Only connected integrations are shown.
4

Done

WISEPIM prepares your data, connects to your platform, and pushes everything over. You’ll get a notification when it’s complete.
Exports run in the background. You can keep working while your products are being pushed — check the Process Tracker for status updates.

File export

If you need your data as a file — for backup, migration, or use in another system:
  1. Click Export from the toolbar
  2. Choose CSV or Excel
  3. The file generates and downloads automatically
CSV — Universal format, works with everything. UTF-8 encoded for international characters. Excel — Formatted spreadsheet with proper column types. Ready for analysis or sharing with your team.

How long does it take?

Export speed depends on catalog size and your platform’s API rate limits. Each platform throttles requests differently, so times can vary.
Catalog sizeFile exportPlatform export
Under 100 productsA few secondsUnder a minute
100–1,000 productsUnder a minute5–15 minutes
1,000–10,000 productsA few minutes15 minutes – 1 hour
10,000–50,000 productsA few minutes1–4 hours
File exports (CSV/Excel) are fast because there’s no API rate limiting involved. Platform exports depend on how quickly the target platform accepts requests — Shopify, Magento, and WooCommerce all have different rate limits.

After exporting

  1. Verify on your platform — Log into your store and spot-check a few products
  2. Check your storefront — Make sure products display correctly to customers
  3. Review categories — Confirm category assignments carried over

Troubleshooting

Export not starting

  • Verify your integration is connected on the Integrations page
  • Re-test the connection — API credentials may have expired
  • Check that your API user has write permissions

Platform-specific issues

  • Shopify — Check API permissions and rate limits
  • WooCommerce — Verify REST API is enabled with write access
  • Magento — Confirm your API user has product create/update permissions

File download not working

  • Check your browser’s download settings and popup blocker
  • Try a different browser
  • For large catalogs, give it a moment — the file needs to generate first

Slow export

Large catalogs and platform API rate limits can slow things down. For very large exports, consider breaking them into smaller batches by category or filter.
