Set the stock status for multiple products at once. Mark products as in stock, out of stock, or on backorder, and configure stock management settings.

How to use it

Select products

Check the products you want to update, or use filters and select all matching results.

Open Bulk Edit and choose Set Stock Status

Click Bulk Edit, then search for “Stock Status” or find it under Inventory & Shipping.

Pick the status

Choose In Stock, Out of Stock, or On Backorder.

Configure management options and apply

Optionally update stock management and backorder settings, then click Apply.

Tips

  • Use this when you need to quickly mark a batch of products as out of stock — for example, during a supplier delay.
  • Enable Allow backorders for products you can still fulfill even when stock reads zero (e.g., made-to-order items).
  • This action sets the status flag — it doesn’t change the actual stock quantity. Use Update Stock to adjust quantities.
