Overview

The General settings page lets you define foundational information about your project. These details influence how AI generates and translates your product content, so it is important to keep them accurate.
You must select a project from the project switcher before you can edit General settings.

Project Details

Set the basic identity for your project.
1

Project Name

Enter a descriptive name for your project. This name appears in the project switcher and throughout the interface.
2

Description

Provide a short summary of what this project is for and what products it contains. This helps your team members understand the project scope at a glance.

Target Keywords

Target keywords are SEO terms that WISEPIM incorporates into AI-generated product content when they are relevant. This helps your product descriptions rank better in search engines without sounding forced. Enter a comma-separated list of keywords, for example:
sustainable clothing, organic cotton, eco-friendly fashion
Keep your keyword list focused. Only include terms that genuinely relate to your products — the AI will only use them when they fit naturally.

Primary Industry

Your primary industry helps the AI produce more accurate, domain-specific content and translations. Select the industry that best matches your product catalog from the dropdown. Available industries include categories such as fashion, electronics, food and beverage, health and beauty, and more.
Changing the industry does not retroactively update existing product content. It only affects future AI-generated content.

Primary Language

The primary language is the source language for all product content. AI generation and translations start from this language.
1

Select Your Primary Language

Search for and select your main language from the autocomplete dropdown. Each language is shown with its country flag for easy identification.
2

Review Your Choice

When you change the primary language, it is automatically removed from the additional languages list if it was there.
Changing the primary language on an existing project can affect how translations are generated. Make sure your product content in the new primary language is complete before switching.

Additional Languages

After you set a primary language, you can add as many additional languages as you need. WISEPIM translates your product content from the primary language into each of these.
  • Add a language: Use the autocomplete field to search and select languages.
  • Remove a language: Click the close icon on any language chip to remove it.
All selected languages (primary plus additional) are stored together and made available for translation across the project.

Saving Changes

When you modify any setting on this page, a save bar appears at the bottom. You have two options:
  • Save — Persists your changes to the backend immediately.
  • Undo — Reverts all fields back to the last saved state.
