The Traffic & Behavior report shows you who visits your store, where they come from, and what they do once they arrive. It connects the dots between traffic volume and engagement quality so you can focus on attracting the right visitors, not just more visitors.
Traffic data requires your connected platform to provide session-level analytics. The depth of data available depends on your platform and tracking setup.

Key Metrics

  • Sessions — The total number of visits to your store in the selected period.
  • Unique Visitors — The number of distinct people who visited (one person can have multiple sessions).
  • Bounce Rate — The percentage of sessions where the visitor left after viewing only one page. A high bounce rate signals that visitors are not finding what they expected.
  • Average Session Duration — How long visitors spend on your store per session.
  • Pages per Session — The average number of pages viewed in a single session. More pages generally means more engagement.
Bounce rate alone does not tell the full story. A high bounce rate on a product page might be fine if visitors are finding what they need quickly. Combine bounce rate with session duration for a clearer picture.

Charts and Tables

Traffic Sparklines

Compact sparkline charts for each key metric showing trends over the selected time period. Green indicators mean improvement, red means decline. These give you an instant health check without needing to dig into details.

Bounce Rate Status Indicator

A visual indicator showing your current bounce rate with a color-coded status (green for healthy, yellow for concerning, red for problematic). This makes it easy to spot when bounce rate needs attention.

Traffic by Source

A chart breaking down sessions by traffic source: organic search, paid ads, social media, direct, email, and referral. This shows where your visitors come from and helps you evaluate which channels deserve more investment.

Traffic by Device

A donut chart splitting sessions by device type (desktop, mobile, tablet). Knowing your device mix helps you prioritize where to optimize the shopping experience.

Traffic by Country

A chart showing your top visitor countries. Useful for identifying international demand and deciding whether to invest in localized content or regional marketing.

Top Landing Pages

A table showing which pages visitors arrive on most frequently, with bounce rate and average session duration per page. High-traffic pages with high bounce rates are priority optimization targets.

Top Exit Pages

A table showing which pages visitors leave from most frequently. If your checkout page is a top exit page, something in the checkout flow is driving people away.

What to Do with This Data

  • If bounce rate is above 55% — Audit your top landing pages. Check that page titles and meta descriptions match the actual page content, and make sure pages load fast on all devices.
  • If mobile traffic is high but mobile engagement is low — Your mobile experience is underperforming. Test page load speed, navigation usability, and checkout flow on mobile.
  • If a traffic source has high volume but high bounce rate — The traffic from that source is not well-targeted. Refine your ad targeting, keywords, or social content to attract more qualified visitors.
  • If session duration is under 1 minute — Visitors are not finding enough value to stay. Improve product content, add related product suggestions, and review your site navigation.
