Lightspeed E-Series (Ecwid) Integration

Lightspeed E-Series (formerly Ecwid) is a flexible e-commerce platform that lets you sell across multiple channels including your website, social media, and marketplaces. By connecting your Ecwid store to WISEPIM, you can import your entire product catalog, enrich it with AI-powered optimization, and push updated data back to your store in bulk.
This integration supports importing and exporting products, variants, categories, images, and custom attributes between your Ecwid store and WISEPIM.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
  • An active Lightspeed E-Series (Ecwid) store with admin access
  • A WISEPIM account with an active project
  • Your Ecwid Store ID, Secret API Token, and Public API Token

Getting Your Ecwid API Credentials

You will need three pieces of information from your Ecwid account to connect with WISEPIM.
1

Log in to your Ecwid admin panel

Go to your Ecwid control panel at my.ecwid.com and log in with your admin credentials.
2

Navigate to the API settings

In the left sidebar, go to Settings and then click on API. If you do not see this option, you may need to enable it under your app settings or contact Ecwid support.
3

Locate your Store ID

Your Store ID is displayed at the top of the API settings page. Copy this value — you will need it when configuring the integration in WISEPIM.
4

Generate or copy your API tokens

On the same page, you will find your Secret Token and Public Token. If they have not been generated yet, click Generate tokens. Copy both values.
  • Secret Token: Used for server-side API calls (read/write access)
  • Public Token: Used for client-side operations (read-only access)
Never share your Secret API Token publicly or commit it to version control. This token provides full read/write access to your store data. Store it securely and only enter it in trusted applications like WISEPIM.

Connecting Ecwid to WISEPIM

Once you have your API credentials, you can configure the integration in WISEPIM.
1

Open the Integrations page

Log in to your WISEPIM account and navigate to the Integrations page from the main sidebar.
2

Select Lightspeed E-Series (Ecwid)

Find the Lightspeed E-Series (Ecwid) tile in the App Marketplace and click on it to open the configuration modal.
3

Enter your API credentials

Fill in the following fields:
  • Store ID: Your Ecwid Store ID
  • Secret Token: Your Ecwid Secret API Token
  • Public Token: Your Ecwid Public API Token
4

Test the connection

Click Test Connection to verify that your credentials are correct and WISEPIM can communicate with your Ecwid store.
5

Save your configuration

If the connection test is successful, click Save to store your integration settings.

Importing Products from Ecwid

After your integration is configured, you can import your product catalog from Ecwid into WISEPIM.
  1. Go to the Products page in WISEPIM
  2. Click the Import button and select Ecwid as the source
  3. WISEPIM will fetch all products from your Ecwid store, including:
    • Product names and descriptions
    • Prices and SKUs
    • Stock quantities
    • Images
    • Categories
    • Variants (combinations)
    • Custom attributes
WISEPIM automatically maps Ecwid product fields to your WISEPIM attributes. You can customize this mapping using the Attribute Mapper, accessible from the integration tile on the Integrations page.

Attribute Mapping

To control how Ecwid product fields map to your WISEPIM attributes:
  1. On the Integrations page, find your Ecwid integration tile
  2. Click Open Attribute Mapper
  3. Review and adjust the field mappings as needed
  4. Save your mapping configuration
This ensures that product data flows correctly between the two platforms and that no important information is lost during import or export.

Exporting Products to Ecwid

You can push enriched product data back to your Ecwid store:
  1. Go to the Products page in WISEPIM
  2. Select the products you want to export
  3. Click Export and choose Ecwid as the destination
  4. Review the export preview and confirm
The integration supports an Auto-Create Products option. When enabled, products that exist in WISEPIM but not in your Ecwid store will be automatically created during export. You can toggle this setting in the integration configuration.

What Gets Exported

When you export products to Ecwid, the following data is synchronized:
  • Product names and descriptions (including translations)
  • Prices, SKUs, and stock quantities
  • Product images
  • Categories and subcategories
  • Variant options and combinations
  • Custom attributes

Multi-Language Support

Ecwid supports multiple languages for your storefront. WISEPIM takes full advantage of this by allowing you to:
  • Translate your product catalog into multiple languages using AI-powered translation
  • Export translated content to the correct language fields in Ecwid
  • Maintain consistent terminology across all languages
Configure your target languages in WISEPIM before exporting. WISEPIM will automatically match translations to the corresponding language settings in your Ecwid store.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Ecwid integration, try the following:

Connection Errors

  • Verify that your Store ID is correct (it should be a numeric value)
  • Confirm that your Secret Token has not been regenerated since you last configured the integration
  • Ensure your Ecwid store is active and not suspended

Import Issues

  • Check that your Ecwid store has products to import
  • Verify that your API token has the necessary read permissions
  • If certain products are missing, check whether they are hidden or disabled in Ecwid

Export Issues

  • Confirm that your API token has write permissions
  • Check that the attribute mapping is correctly configured
  • If products fail to export, review the error log in WISEPIM for specific field validation errors
If you regenerate your API tokens in Ecwid, you must update them in WISEPIM as well. The old tokens will stop working immediately after regeneration.

Next Steps

Once your Ecwid integration is set up, you can:
