Kaufland.de Marketplace Integration

Kaufland.de is one of the largest online marketplaces in Germany, reaching millions of customers across Europe. By integrating your Kaufland seller account with WISEPIM, you can centralize your product data management, optimize your listings for the marketplace, and ensure your product information meets Kaufland’s strict data requirements.
Kaufland.de is expanding to multiple European markets including Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, and Poland. WISEPIM helps you manage product data across all Kaufland markets from a single source.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
  • An active Kaufland.de seller account with API access enabled
  • A WISEPIM account with an active project
  • Your Kaufland API Key (Client Key) and API Secret (Secret Key)

Getting Your Kaufland API Credentials

You will need an API key and secret from your Kaufland seller account to establish the connection.
1

Log in to your Kaufland Seller Portal

Go to the Kaufland Seller Portal and sign in with your seller account credentials.
2

Navigate to API Settings

In the seller portal, go to Settings and find the API or Interface section. This is where you manage your API credentials.
3

Generate API credentials

If you do not have existing API credentials, click Create new API key (or similar). You will receive:
  • Client Key (API Key): Your unique identifier for API access
  • Secret Key (API Secret): Your authentication secret
Copy both values and store them securely.
4

Configure API permissions

Ensure your API key has the following permissions enabled:
  • Products: Read and write access
  • Categories: Read access
  • Orders: Read access (optional, for analytics)
Keep your API Secret confidential. Never share it publicly, commit it to version control, or send it via unencrypted channels. If you suspect your credentials have been compromised, regenerate them immediately in the Kaufland Seller Portal.

Syncing Products with Kaufland

Importing Products from Kaufland

You can import your existing Kaufland product listings into WISEPIM for centralized management:
  1. Go to the Products page in WISEPIM
  2. Click Import and select Kaufland.de as the source
  3. WISEPIM will fetch your product listings, including:
    • Product titles and descriptions
    • EAN/GTIN identifiers
    • Prices and shipping information
    • Product images
    • Category assignments
    • Product attributes and specifications

Exporting Products to Kaufland

After enriching your products in WISEPIM, you can push optimized listings back to Kaufland:
  1. Select the products you want to export
  2. Click Export and choose Kaufland.de as the destination
  3. Review the export preview to verify your product data
  4. Confirm the export
Use WISEPIM’s AI enrichment tools to optimize your product titles and descriptions before exporting. Well-optimized listings rank higher in Kaufland’s search results and convert better.

Category Mapping

Kaufland.de uses a specific category tree that your products must be mapped to. Proper category mapping is essential for your listings to be accepted and appear in the correct search results.

How Category Mapping Works

  1. On the Integrations page, click Open Attribute Mapper on your Kaufland tile
  2. Map your WISEPIM product categories to the corresponding Kaufland categories
  3. Configure attribute mappings for category-specific required fields
  4. Save your mapping configuration
Kaufland requires specific attributes for each category (such as brand, color, size, or material). WISEPIM’s attribute mapper helps you ensure all required fields are filled before exporting, reducing the risk of rejected listings.

Meeting Kaufland Data Requirements

Kaufland has strict data quality requirements. WISEPIM helps you comply by:
  • Validating required fields before export to catch missing data early
  • Standardizing attribute values to match Kaufland’s expected formats
  • Verifying EAN/GTIN codes to ensure product identifiers are valid
  • Checking image requirements to confirm images meet Kaufland’s specifications
Listings that do not meet Kaufland’s data requirements may be rejected or have reduced visibility. Always review the export preview and resolve any validation warnings before confirming the export.

Multi-Market Support

Kaufland.de operates across multiple European markets. With WISEPIM, you can manage your product data for all Kaufland markets from a single project:
  • Translate product content from German to Czech, Slovak, Polish, and other languages using AI-powered translation
  • Maintain consistent product information across all markets
  • Export to specific Kaufland markets with the correct language and localization settings
Start with your primary market (typically Germany) and use WISEPIM’s translation features to expand to additional Kaufland markets. This ensures consistent quality across all your listings.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Kaufland integration, try the following:

Connection Errors

  • Verify that your API Key and API Secret are entered correctly
  • Confirm that your API credentials have not expired or been revoked in the Kaufland Seller Portal
  • Ensure your Kaufland seller account is active and in good standing

Import Issues

  • Check that your Kaufland account has active product listings to import
  • Verify that your API key has read permissions for products
  • If products are missing from the import, they may be in a draft or deactivated state on Kaufland

Export Issues

  • Confirm that all required category-specific attributes are filled in for each product
  • Verify that EAN/GTIN codes are valid and correctly formatted
  • Check that product images meet Kaufland’s minimum resolution and format requirements
  • Review the WISEPIM error log for specific field validation errors

Category Mapping Issues

  • Ensure you have mapped your WISEPIM categories to valid Kaufland categories
  • Check that all required attributes for the target Kaufland category are configured in the attribute mapper
  • If a category has changed on Kaufland’s side, you may need to refresh and update your mapping
If you regenerate your API credentials in the Kaufland Seller Portal, you must update them in WISEPIM immediately. The old credentials will stop working once new ones are generated.
