# Workspace Features

> Choose which tools a project shows. Pick your goals, start from Simple or Advanced, and switch tools such as SEO, Analytics or Browser agents on or off.

WISEPIM can do a lot, but your team might not need everything right now. Workspace Features lets you switch off the tools you do not use, so menus, settings and the product editor only show what you work with. You can switch a tool back on at any time.

**What this page enables:** a shorter menu for your team, tools that follow your goals, and one place to keep browser agents out of a project.

**Where to find it:** **Settings** > **Catalog & Data** > **Workspace Features**. It applies to the project you have open, for everyone on that project.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Only project editors can change this page. Other team members see it read-only, with the notice "Only project editors can change this."

## Pick your goals

Under **What this workspace is for**, click the goals your team works on:

* **Launch on a marketplace**
* **Translate the catalog**
* **Rewrite descriptions**
* **Fix missing attributes**
* **Get found in search**
* **Localized listings**
* **Set channel prices**

Hover over a goal to see which tools it switches on. Goals only shape the recommendation. Nothing is deleted when you change them.

## Choose a mode

**Workspace mode** gives you a starting point:

| Mode | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Simple** (recommended) | Only the tools your goals call for. Everything else stays out of the way until you need it |
| **Advanced** | Every tool switched on, including the ones for larger teams and technical setups |
| **Custom** | Your own mix. WISEPIM shows this as soon as you switch a tool on or off by hand |

With **Simple**, changing your goals updates the tools right away. With no goals picked, Simple keeps only the basics plus analytics.

> [!NOTE]
>
> A project that was never narrowed down shows **Everything is switched on**. Pick **Simple** to focus it on your goals, or switch tools off one by one.

## Switch tools on or off

Tools sit in four groups. **Standard** tools show right away. **Advanced** tools are for larger catalogs and technical setups; open them with **Show advanced tools**.

| Group | Tool | What it adds | Tier |
| - | - | - | - |
| **Content and AI** | Translations | The Translate flow, translation settings, locale pickers and linguistic review | Standard |
| | SEO | The SEO tab, SEO and keyword settings, bulk SEO meta and SEO analytics | Standard |
| | Web research | The Research tab, bulk research and web research settings | Standard |
| | Content logic | The content logic settings page | Advanced |
| **Channels** | Channels | Integrations, channel readiness checks and sync settings | Standard |
| | Feed hub | Building, mapping and publishing product feeds | Standard |
| | Brand portals | A branded product portal for resellers and partners | Advanced |
| | WiseChat | The storefront shopping assistant, its analytics and settings | Advanced |
| | Community | Achievements and the partner program | Advanced |
| **Insights and control** | Analytics | The analytics section, Grow sales and Reduce returns, custom dashboards | Standard |
| | Quality Guard | Rule packs, quarantine, audit log, data quality settings | Standard |
| | Browser agents | AI agents in your browser that work in WISEPIM for you | Standard |
| | Automations | Automations, the workflow builder and workflow settings | Advanced |
| **Catalog and setup** | Media library | The media library, media settings and image tools such as alt text | Standard |
| | Product families | Product families, so variants share data | Standard |
| | Lifecycle | Lifecycle stages and what happens between them | Advanced |
| | Classification | ETIM and GS1 classes, unit code sets, the attribute mapper and the ETIM tab | Advanced |
| | Pricing rules | Pricing rules in settings and the discounts section | Advanced |
| | API access | The API settings page for keys and webhooks | Advanced |
| | Templates | Product templates and export templates | Advanced |

Click a tool's details to read what it adds. Click **Save** in the save bar to apply your changes. You see "Workspace features saved" when it worked.

Switching a tool off removes it from the menus, settings and product editor for everyone on the project. Nothing you already created is deleted.

### Tools that need a higher plan

Some tools show a chip such as **Needs the Business plan**. You can still switch them on: they then show with an upgrade hint until your plan includes them.

| Tool | Chip shows |
| - | - |
| Web research, Analytics | **Needs the Starter plan** |
| Content logic, Quality Guard, Automations, Pricing rules | **Needs the Business plan** |
| API access | **Needs the Pro plan** |

See [Billing Settings](https://docs.wisepim.com/en/settings/billing.md) for what each plan includes.

### Always on

Some parts of WISEPIM can't be switched off: "Products, categories, attributes, import and export, AI enrichment, chat, prompt library, prompt lab, the knowledge library, your team and projects are always on." Workspace Features itself also stays available, so you can always switch tools back on.

## Browser agents

**Browser agents** lets an AI agent built into your browser search, edit and enrich your catalog for you. Every change waits for your approval in WISEPIM. It is a Standard tool and on by default. Switch it off to keep agents out of this workspace.

See [Connected Apps](https://docs.wisepim.com/en/settings/connected-apps.md#browser-agents) for how you approve an agent's changes, approve a plan, and pause agent access.

## When a tool is switched off

* **Menus:** the tool's menu entries, settings cards and editor tabs disappear. A small hint, for example "2 tools hidden", links to **Manage features**.
* **Direct links:** a page of a switched-off tool still opens, with a banner saying it is switched off for this workspace. Editors can click **Turn on** to bring it back for everyone, or **Manage features** to open this page.
* **Actions:** if you start an action that needs a switched-off tool, WISEPIM stops and tells you the tool "is switched off for this workspace. Switch it on under Settings → Features to run this."
* **Automations:** a node that uses a switched-off tool shows "Uses a switched-off feature".

## Act on what you find

> **A menu item or settings page is missing**
>
> The tool behind it is probably switched off. Open **Workspace Features**, find the tool and switch it on, then click **Save**.

> **An automation stopped with Uses a switched-off feature**
>
> Switch the tool back on here, or remove that node from the automation.

> **My team sees too many tools**
>
> Pick your goals and choose **Simple**. Then switch on any extra tool your team asks for.

> **I want to keep AI browser agents out of a project**
>
> Switch off **Browser agents** and save. Agents in anyone's browser can then no longer work in this project.
